The study, which focuses on the spatial use of Istanbul in Turkish Cinema and the periodic meanings of these places, aims to create a cinematic cartography by combining Istanbul's historical, cultural and architectural richness with its representations in the films. Within the scope of the project, the spatial transformation of Istanbul in a period from the golden age of Turkish Cinema to the present day will be visualized with digital maps together with their representations in the films. One of the main objectives of the project is to create a cinematographic atlas that maps Istanbul's cinematic spaces and makes them accessible over the internet. This atlas will appeal to a wide range of users from academics to cinema lovers, offering the opportunity to explore Istanbul's cinematic and urban texture in depth.
