DBAT-1 PROJECT CALL FROM SAVTAG UNDER PROGRAMME 1007

A New Type High Capacity Submarine Battery Development Project Phase-1 (DBAT-1) Call was launched by TÜBİTAK SAVTAG, within the scope of the 1007-Public Institutions Research and Development Projects Support Program, with the code 1007-SAVTAG-MSB-2024-01.

It is the development of a new type of high-capacity submarine battery that will meet the needs of the Naval Forces Command with national and domestic facilities. The aim of the project is to produce a New Type High Capacity Submarine Battery with lithium ion technology that can be used instead of lead-acid batteries that provide the main propulsion system of conventional submarines and the energy needs of other hotel loads through R&D.

The purpose of the project is to develop a new type of high-capacity submarine battery meeting the needs of the Naval Forces Command by using national and local resources. In the project, the production of New Type-High Capacity Submarine Batteries with lithium-ion technology, which can be used instead of lead acid batteries, that provide the main propulsion system of conventional submarines and the energy needs of other hotel cargo, is carried out through R&D.

Companies applying must comply with the "Defense Industry Security Regulation" and can obtain the Call Document Request Form and SAVTAG Call Document Delivery Report by filling out the form available at the following link: https://tubitak.gov.tr/tr/destekler/akademik/ulusal-destek programlari/1007-kamu-kurumlari-arastirma-ve-gelistirme-projelerini destekleme-programi. Additionally, all institution/organization personnel working on the project, including the courier authorized to receive the documents, must meet the requirements of " Facility Security Certificate" and "Personnel Security Certificate."

Within the scope of this call, project applications will start to be received on June, 10, 2024, and the deadline for project proposals is August, 6, 2024 at 17:00 (UTC+3).
